I think we should revert back to a system majorly based on giving/recieveing it... maybe with the current system set at a lower level so it doesn't stagnate.

The idea being that you can show your appreciation when people have done something for you, made you laugh, etc.

thats what i ment really. the old way had a point to it but this new way is like being at school. does it really matter is we cant spell or our punctuation is crap

I agree with the above.

If someone is really crap at spelling we can give them bad karma

Also there was the idea of giving a reason with it, so you can see where your karma has come/gone from/to.

Old way would be nice, being able to give karma for really good and helpful posts would be good.
