I personally am also looking at getting an sv650, mostly like and 01/02 model.

I've only heard good things about them from owners that i have spoken to, good performance, and real world usability. Not heard many things that go wrong with them, only minor things like the finish on exhausts and forks and rattling camchain tensioners.

Plus who doesnt like the sound of a twin! Very Happy

Ive had my sv650s k3 for approx 6 weeks now and apart from sounding a bit tame, its bloody brill, pull away from lights at speed np's, ive left a few bikes standing (lifted the front a bit) but its a gr8 bike if youve never ridden before. I thought about buying a Hairnet but much prefer the looks of the svs. I have ridden a couple of bikes since passing my DAS 7 weeks ago and i much prefer my sv :D
Lowers for the svs are about £350+ i think, if you want more opinions go to www.sv650.org and look at some of the threads on their, plenty of em.
