Hi

Short journies will kill spark plugs more quickly on 2 strokes. Same for using the choke for too long, etc.

However are you using the correct grade of spark plug? The number is the heat range on an NGK plug, and a higher number is for a colder plug. Colder plugs will foul up more easily at low revs (while warmer plugs will start to over heat if the bike is thrashed while using them).

All the best

Keith

Hi

Possibly. Thrash a bike with too hot a grade spark plug in it (and the lawn mower plug is bound to be a fair amount hotter grade) and you stand a reasonable chance of causing detonation, possibly burning a hole in the piston.

All the best

Keith
