I have just been out on my F-Reg Yamaha TZR for the first time but there are a couple of problems can anybody help?

a) the battery must be bad because the lights dim when i press brake etc.. where is it and how much would a new one cost?

b) while the front indicators don't work at all the rear ones stay lit when 'on' instead of flashing. Could the problem be something to do with the fact that the fronts don't work and how can I check why they don't?
Or could it be the relay? Where is this?

Many thanks in advance
..Dave

Not sure about the TZR, but I know my Mito keeps the indicators on when you remove one, EG. If the front left isn't working / connected, the rear left stays on.

This is when they work at all.

Check the bulbs, wiring ETC.

If there isn't enough voltage supplied to the indicator relay it will stay either on or off. As you say you have battery problems then I would replace or charge the battery and see if all the electrics are functioning OK before stripping anything down. Thumbs Up Wink

I tried to "tuck some wires away" (hide them between the fairing panels) on my NSR and inadvertently unplugged my front right indicator. When the right indicators are switched on, the rear left indy and indicator warning light stayed on without flashing, until i plugged the indicator back in. It's most likely a loose connection mate.

On my NSR the lights dim slightly when i use either brake, and it's the same on my work scooter (which is less than 5 months old) so it's probably not a problem.

Best of luck sorting it out mate Thumbs Up .

both indicators run in a circut, the rear left flashes once, then cuts off to let the front left one flash, if one doesn't work or is disconnected then the other one will stay on constantly.
