Just had a game in which I spent the entire time lagging from one point to another 20 metres away and where I'd empty a clip into someone to no effect whatsoever. My connection used to play up from time to time with MW, but at least with that I could see it was dropping down to 1 red bar and know there wasn't any point persevering. Fucking wifi.

I think it depends on the which rolfcopter you get. There are two fire buttons but you need to unlock the secondary weapon package to get the machine guns.

Now it's completely buggered. After selecting Join Game the 'searching for games' window pops up then disappears a second later. That definitely isn't down to my connection.

Got my copy this evening so will be having a bash on single player and might attempt online tomorrow at some point, no doubt i'll suck as i've never really played online shooting games before bar a brief session on HL2 deathmatch.

Played it online for a while and so far it's crap, every game seems to be full of high level players who just rape you, nothing is explained, the manual is as much use as a dirty sheet of toilet paper and there's some bug which keeps making my screen flash black and I have to move to another part of the map to get rid of it. I went toe to toe with some bloke and emptied half an SMG box into him and he was still running around, it's like Quake. Also find it really hard to actually tell if someone is on my team especially with the lighting or if the person is close, could be anyone.

Didn't know about the hardcore setting, don't think i've seen that in the server options? I tried going around the edge of the map with the sniper rifle (took me a while to figure out why I couldn't change class but then realised the sqaud tab pullout thing covers it up, the menus are terrible, look like something they knocked up overnight. Anyway what with my guy wobbling all over the place while trying to aim and very few people standing still I found it quite hard to consistently hit anyone, will try more but not good so far.

Another thing I find amusing/annoying is when you run towards stuff or try and move up a rock/bank or over some kind of obstacle in a quiet area of the map your guy seems to fall about making loads noise, everytime it happens I think someone has just pulled up behind me with a tank but it's just my guy tripping over his own feet Stealth certainly isn't easy when you're equipped with clown shoes.

My PC is Quad Core 8200, 4gb Ram and a Radeon 4650 I think, the game seems to run nicely, might lower things a bit to get it really smooth though, need to put my PC back on a desk too rather than sat on the sofa with the sofa cushion as a mousepad ( I don't use it for games)

I ran out of patience yesterday with having so much lag I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs. After unplugging the evidently utterly shite MS wireless adapter and sharing the net connection from my mac mini instead it now seems to be working perfectly. Sniping's bloody good fun when you can actually hit people.

Sniping is awesome, eventually you learn where people are going to be on the maps so that makes for a few easy sniper shots. Then you move and know where the people will be from where you are. You just repeat sometimes it works and sometimes another sniper sees you and blows your nose off.


Best sniper moment for me was shooting a lad and then his team mate revived him, I shot him again and he was revived again and again and again and again and again until the medic got the idea and stopped reviving him lol. I took the medic out aswell lol.

Just had the most epic game, it was 12:30 and I thought
"one more game"

About 40 minutes later we finally win.

We were defending in a Rush game (The one with the jungle setting and the big light house"
The attackers were doing the usual, sit back rape us for a bit at the first crates, then it go quite close and they got the 2nd crate with 1 ticket left!

They raped us some more with the copper all the way to the last base.

We put up a hell of a defence seeing as we got so punished at all the rest.

I managed to shoot down 2 blackhawks (4 in total) at the end it was epic, we were all hanging on with our fingertips.

The round finally ended with both crates planted but neither exploding

I finished the round with

5832 combat score (My highest ever by about 1000 points)
9032 total score including pin.
23 pins/awards
1 dogtag
48 kills
38 deaths

Was truly and epic battle, which ebbed and flowed either way, we were on the back foot on every crate until the last where we whipped their behinds.

Im tired now.

I didn't get to play it hardly at all this weekend but thank god I'm only at work once this week. Well 7 in the morning but thats it for a week so I'll be hammering this to get my stats and levels up.

Mate the G3 is sweet, think you unlock at level 22, so accurate and take people down in a few bursts. I use it on all my classes, its great with the recon class as the motion sensors are so damn useful. In that match I was mainly engineer taking out the choppers, tanks, UAV's.

Taking down the choppers was the best bit, cocky cunts though tthey were good raping us with the chain guns, I shot it down twice in about 5 minutes, they stopped using it as an attack chopper and just started doing ditch runs to the back of spwan trying to spawn kill us.

I dont mind teams who flank to rear to take the objective.

What I dont like is little guillie suited shits sat behind our spawn in the bushes taking pot shots.

Is it me or do you get the most kill satisfaction ever getting a marksman headshot on another sniper from fucking miles away first shot. I love it, the ping as you twat one right through their forehead after calculating the bullet drp on the fly.

I like sniping because it's awesome when you pull off a long range proper flukey shot. It does annoy me though when I keep getting wiped out by kids sitting miles away on a hill.

I need the G3 and the dart gun. I need to spend some more time on it and play it better lol. I've been using the thompson and it's quite good.
