I never get asked to remove my helmet probably because
I ride a scooty and always nicely turned out.

( hmm not sure if those loafers go with that jacket tho...)

You are obviously a fair weather motorcyclist.

Nah I just don't need to preen myself every time I take my lid off.

If I ain't taking my lid off, it means I ain't needing to take my gloves off. I can't operate the micro-ratchet while wearing my touring gloves. That saves me easily 30 seconds off and 30 seconds on again.

Also it takes me ten yotta-centuries to get my earplugs in place, balaclava in place, lid on my napper and then rearrange the earplugs and balaclava again because they got jostled.

I fucking hate having to take my lid off if I can avoid it.

More so when it is raining and you're a bit miserable and you have wet gloves and face and snood.

Nobody likes taking a wet helmet off then having to put it back on once it's gone cold. Especially when you know full well if you take your damp gloves off, you aren't getting them back on again in a hurry.

I've never been asked anywhere in or around Bristol, I think pulling up on a bike that looks showroom clean and
wearing full kit that isn't filthy probably helps with that. I usually use my local Sainsburys forecourt these days but
a few years ago I was a regular at the petrol station Nobby posted.

I tend to just open my jacket so they can see my tits - when they notice I'm a bird they rarely ask (maybe once or twice I've been asked but its very rare).

Cos obvs ladies wouldn't *dream* of ripping off a gas station. Shifty

I mean, you'd have to be pretty pathetic to rip someone off for twenty quid.

I've been refused service due to a crash helmet 3 times, once when I had already taken it off.
More often I have been given better service because I was riding a motorbike and staff considered me safer than car drivers.

The oddest one was a new years eve just outside Newport South Wales at a Morrisons. Parked two blood bikes very close next to each other, tried to fill up at and the attendant started screaming over the tannoy so I went inside to see what the problem was. Took my helmet off as I walked inside and he called security from the main store and threatened to call the Police but wouldn't stop to tell me what the problem was so I left. We got on the bikes, Tesco at the next junction and they served us without problem.
To this day I still can't work out what was going on.

Considering the petrol station workers around here, it probably would.

the feckers that park at a pump and go and do a weeks shopping piss me off far more than having to remove a helmet.

Not had an issue in years, usually park up, gloves off and fill up straddling the bike to keep it upright.

Walk in wearing my helmet and pay if it's not pay at pump.

Summer day I'm just bumbling about I wouldn't mind, if I've just knocked off, it's pissing rain and I want to go home and drink some tea do I buggery want to take my soggy helmet off.
