Shocked

Completely skint at the minute, but am being led into expecting something from the O/H.

Being our 1 year aniversary 3 days later we are going out for a meal, so might just combine the two...

Can't abide the thing. Utterly pointless piece of crap in my opinion - any token of love that is given because someone thinks they *ought* to is automatically deviod of that which it supposes to show.

Random displays of love / tokens of affection beat Valentines Day hollow.

**edit** for spelling - i'm asleep - that's my excuse :p

I want to bring back some diamonds from dubai when i stop off there in may, i hear you can get them really really cheap and sell them here for silly ammounts. Maybe you can take one. Wink

I also think its highly illegal and you could get put in prison but bring back 4/5 diamonds (think they cost 2k each) sell them for minimum 8/9 hot and your sorted for a while. Cool

I meant it was my present to her.

Anything is better than sitting in on a Friday night watching another reality show.

Argos link...lie n say it's white gold n diamond...

Thanks for the idea but if I do that I'll do it properly Very Happy Thumbs Up

I also avoid the Argos jewellery counter as it's normally besieged by chavs getting their latest bling (and that's just the males!) Rolling Eyes

P.S. As a suggestion for long links try using the short text description wrapper. Would save me scroling right! Ta.

Neither of us are bothered about valentine's day, we usually go with our mates...

(besides, I already know just how motivated a girl can be when they see chocolate, I'm not about to only use that little weapon one day a year!)

Valentines day is when my grandad pased away at the age of 84 6 years ago so it's kinda special in that sense. Unfortunately his spirit of wisdom and well polished mannerisms have not been passed to me.

Valentines day for me remains a cheesy day where i play my own pop-punk songs over the phone (with definately corny lyrics). So i'm gonna try a different angle this time and phone them and breath heavily down the phone and hang up! Laughing Shocked Very Happy (i think it will be funny despite recognising the implications)

Call me old fashioned, but a bit of romance is nice now and again. Especially when day to day household crap gets in the way and the most romance I get is a cup of tea and a help with the washing up! (Just kidding honey, you are romantic in your own special way Laughing )

I have banned the Internet, books, the playstation and housework for Valentines day, as these are the usual distractions for us both.

Here we go again.

Another money spinner for the comercial card flogging scum on the high street, dipping thier greedy hands into my pocket to steal thier cut of the money I'm emotionally blackmailed into spending.

I have actually been quite organised this year. I've already bought a card(handmade selection in reception at work Thumbs Up ) and booked a table at a nice chinese restaurant. I don't even like fucking chinese food, those deep fried syrup coated pieces of dried dog.

She says she's ''not bothered at all about it'', but guess who'll be the bad guy if nothing happens.

Oh, hang on, what a cunt I am i forgot to spend £40 on a bunch of dying foliage. Here here's my wallet, burn it!!! fucking burn it!!!!

I'm pleased to say I'm going to a gig. Without the GF.

Acually, I'm assistant lighting op at the gig. Will be quite a good career boost!

so I went out yesterday and got her a card and 2 or 3 prezzies yesterday (but hers are chocolate and cuddly toy related Wink ) Rolling Eyes
