the TW is a 4 stroke offroader wannabe. Don't bother.

The TZR is a sportsbike. They can be derestricted (although I don't know how easily) Go for that! Smile

I love my TW125, it's a great starter bike. IT's economical (5 quid will get me 120 miles), it's reliable (also has electric start), and I reckon it looks great. I have to admit, the TW is a road bike in all fairness, and changing down to first can sometimes be a tad hairy (big clunking noise), but if you're willing to accept it for what it is, not what it's trying to be, you find a great little first time riders bike. As far as speed goes, I've got 70 from mine - so obviously a de-restricted TZR would flatten it. However, I guess it depends on what you're going to use it for.

I feel like adding too, the 2002 and earlier models look sooo much better with the dt125 style head light and front sheild. The tyres on the earlier models are different too (more off-roady)

hehe, so there MarJay :p

If you can get one for £500 I will accept that it's a good idea Smile... infact a bit more if you like the styling and that's important to you.
Otherwise I would reccomend the TZR... if nothing else it will 'grow' with you, as you get better you can make more use of it and derestrict it, while it's more likely you will get bored with a 4 stroke.

The 4 stroke will be cheaper to run, but will probably be more expensive to buy because it's newer, so not a great saving.

I am getting an NSR for my first bike, I rode it for the first time last week, I loved it. A bit of advice from one new biker to another, go for an NSR because loads of people here will be able to offer lots of advice.

I have found that parts are easy to get for the NSR as well, no trouble so far, the prices aren't too bad either Thumbs Up

Well apart from exhausts, hurry up Scotty Rolling Eyes Laughing
