My old man wants to buy a dirtbike, he wants a 4 stroke. He wants to ride it on the street and off road. What do you think is a good 4 stroke. It needs some gitup. Lately we have been riding around on a Suzuki 125 and enjoy it. But its so loud and 2 stroke like. SO what is a 4 stroke with comparable power, yet under 2000? Thank you!

Lots of bike around to suit him.

My dad used to have a xt350 which was pritty good, had some power pritty cool, still about teh same bhp as a full 125 2 smoke but with aLLOT more torque

Same as dr350 ect ^^^

We have a few xt250's here they are great couldnt hert your self on it if you tryed Twisted Evil but still climb anything and flyes along quite well.

if you have teh cash, then dr400z is a "proper" bike to play arond on Thumbs Up

Very Happy I recommend a Suzuki DR-Z 400, a 398cc 4-stroke pumping out 40 BHP (with electric start too). The Suzuki official list price new is £4349, but you can get them much cheaper from dealers and if you can find a used one (as they are very popular) you can get one in a private sale from £2000 plus. Perfect for trail/off-road use and excellent on the road.
Happy hunting and Good Luck!
