Everyone knows that Jesus rode a Triumph because of Palm Sunday.

missus has bought a broken gz125 to learn to ride on so naturally im in charge of getting it up and running. Got it through an MOT with an advisory for dodgy front wheel bearings and also its got an issue with an idle hang caused by a cracked inlet manifold.

No worries, order bearings and a new manifold.

Bearings come, I find out I dont have a 12mm allen key to take the front wheel out to do them, no worries, lets try the manifold.

Manifold that was sold as a gz125 marauder manifold doesnt fit and neither can I get the old one out. Ive even gone so far as to move the airbox out of the way to try and get an impact driver on the cheesehead posidrives to get them loose but they still rounded before coming loose. Seems to me like the sensible option here to replace a 10 quid part held in with 2 screws is to take the fucken engine out of the frame so I can get the impact on it on the bench or drill the bastards out.

Fuck it, beer oclock. I'll start ripping that out on bank holiday monday when the weather will invariably be too shit to want to ride my own bike.

I bet there's an M8 with a 12mm hex head on it somewhere on that bike. Jam two nuts on it and you're golden.

Limassol + Harley

As a matter of interest, whereabouts in Limassol would it be possible for holidaymakers to rent a Harley?

Or indeed any kind of motorbike?

I'm thinking about the possibility of going to visit my mate in Pyrgos at some point and want to rent a bike to show up on, as she has two small sons who would be excited to have Aunty* show up on a Harley.

*even though they've only met me once, for two hours. I think its the mother who would be thrilled, even though she's seen me many times on my bike/s including the Harley ... I suspect its more so that her sons can later tell their little schoolfriends that mummy has a friend with a Harley D Laughing

Very true, madam. I shall do exactly that.

Thanks for the link. Looks eminently do-able, and only a short distance from where they live.

The Sportster would be more than adequate to impress the little chaps although I like the look of the Transalp actually. Laughing
