My lad wants to get a bike. I think mainly because his friend has one and a big field to ride it in. Anyhow, I'm told the TT-R125 makes a good kids bike. Mainly because it's 3/4 height to begin with and you can also add larger wheels. The boy's 11 BTW.

Anyone have any experience with these? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in anticipation Thumbs Up Smile

I've no experience of any off-roading other than overshooting a corner, so here you go.

It does seem a bit rare over here, seems more a US thing to me.

If you are on about a new / newish TTR 125 then yes it's perfect for him Thumbs Up

256North over in the states stunt a couple, very very cool Very Happy

There is one at Golding Barn MX track that he uses to get around the course to help people and also uses it for first timers /women that want to try it out/kids etc

Yamaha make great bikes too for MX and enduro etc, so go for it, he won't regret it!! (Neither will you when you have a go Very Happy)

I wish my dad bought me a bike when I were a kid Sad

Yes, it will be a new / newish (depends what I can find) TT-R125.
Thanks for the info and advice.
Think I may be tempted to put it on a daytime MOT, just so I can take it to where he can ride it off-road you understand Wink Smile Thumbs Up
