Thing is a custom guitar like that is worth less than an origional guitar unless your a famous guitarist.

Otherwise they are just "bitzas"

They have more sentimental value and are customised to YOUR requirements, not mine for instance.

I dont care what the money is for jim, you will only piss it away anyhow.
Why not keep the guitars, as they are decent things to possess, and gibsons are damn cool.
Perhaps if you work more than 4 hours a week at tesco you will have some money.
Actually going to work would help too. Thumbs Up

Well "mate" - as you so grandly put it bro,

Im not telling you what to do, just trying to open your eyes as to the fact your methods of financing stuff are flawed.

It is your stuff, but you would be a fool to sell your guitars.
I cant see you having the cash to buy replacements for a long time especially a gibson - Thats whether you stay in education or get a job, it doesnt matter.

Personally i think you should do more hours at work. If your showing that you are actually earning more than 50 quid a week, then dad is more likely to lend you money. A the moment he doesnt think he will get it back or at least not back very quickly. And you do have a habit of racking up huge IOU's to dad.

The insurance on your 1.1 metro is gonna be way way way cheaper than the 1.4 GTi so why not insure that and not the GTi?

Get the GTi running and either sell it or the 1.1 Then you will either have cash for petrol and other things, or money towards insurance of the GTi.
Im sure you could prob swap insurance over to teh GTi if you decide to sell the 1.1, if you pay the difference between them?

Your a fool if you sell all your stuff. You will end up with nothing but the car, and then nothing to fund repairing it WHEN it goes wrong as all mechanical things do.
Improve your income, wait and be patient before buying the stuff you want.

You cant have everything right when you want it.

Plus i'll kick your ass lol Laughing Thumbs Up
