To check if its the headgasket, first what car is it?
Open the bonnet, remove the water bottle top, not the washer fluid, the actual engine coolant tank, and smell in there, it should smell murky, if it smells of burnt oil, or petrol then thats one sign.
Take off the oil filler cap, the cap you remove to put oil into the engine, look on the underside of the cap, for a mayonaisse like substance, it will be like a dirty yellow colour.
Also check for the same on the dipstick.
If you have any of these signs then thats possible headgasket failure, which causes an excessive steam like gas to plume from the exhaust, |

but it may not. depends how much water it getting through, and how much compression is lost.
chances are it's just condensation - does it get driven daily, methodically?
most cars do. so that might be why yours is blowing more water than others, you ride some times, and drive others?
the more your car sits there cold, the more condensation builds up (i think) |
It was sitting on my drive for 2 weeks after I bought it. I have been driving it for exactly a week. I drive every day. 11 miles to work in a morning, and 11 miles back home in the evening. Thats all I really do.
The temperature gauge is normal, it idles nicely and starts fine.
Its just me being paranoid methinks. ____________________ When You're Starting To Choke, Take Some Pills With Your Coke, Its Hyserical |
