Colour = black ???
Date of first registration = 31 Oct 97 ... on a K? Why is that?
Last change of ownership = Oct 07 ...it looks like it hasn't turned a wheel in a long long time in the pics, longer than just 8 months. ____________________ Suzuki GSX-R750K4 ~ Mivv GP |

By being around bikes a lot
It's like being at work. If you're at work, you'll regularly hear of jobs on offer. If you're out of work, you have nowhere to start so finding a job is hard. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

I just lucky with finding cheap bikes and always keep my eye on the ball.
Not going to break as it doesn't look like there is a great deal needed to get it back on the road running (lots to do to get it looking good though). It's going to be a present for the Mrs so she can learn how to ride and hopefully pass her test before it all changes.
The most expensive thing that I need to do on this bike is get the top end rebuilt. I've got some spare powervalves but I need to get the bore replated, I might get my Spainish mate to send it to Spain to get that done because apparently its far cheaper.
I might break the other that I bought earlier this year for £70, lol.

I'm definately going to get this (£20) bike on the road, the other one I'm gonna use for spares for the £20 bike and then sell the remainder of it. I'm not sure if I can be bothered to rebuild it.

I've got three bottom ends for Suzuki RG125f
£70 bike: Good bottom end
£20 bike: Good bottom end (as far as I know).
Then I got a spare bottom end that I bought which is f**k'd.
I had a look at the barrel on the £20 bike today and the powervalves look good at far as I can see but I'll take them out and check they're 100%. It looks like the bike seized for whatever reason, so I need a replate and piston kit so far.

I'm planning to swap over the lock set from the £70 bike to the £20 bike, if I took off the ignition barrel off the £20 bike would the steering lock be disengaged?

The Mrs doesn't think she'll be able to afford to insure the rg so its almost 100% going to be up for sale once rebuilt (the £20 bike). I'll also probably break the £70 bike for spares but I'm not 100% sure yet as I may rebuild it.

Hi again,
Some good and bad news, I took the head off today and had a look at the bottom end and there's no excess play in the con-rod . When turning around the crank it feels nice and smooth as it should, but there's some rust on it and a little bit of rusty petrol/water in the bottom end. Does this mean that I'll have to strip it and replace parts or is it alright to use it as is? Also the barrels exhaust bridge is cracked horizontally (probably a 1mm deep), is this repairable?
Also the £70 bike is now being broken for spares, PM me if you need anything.
Ta again,
