Hello,

I'm new, had my beauty of a GPR for about a month and a half and the other day i binned it on a ridiculously slippy roundabout! Sad Sad Sad as you can imagine i'm not too happy!!

Anyway, I'm ok, bike is mostly ok, jus need new foot peg, brake lever, etc on the right hand side.

Main problem am facing is the main right side fairing panel, has got a big scratch mark on it, which goes across both the black and silver colours of the bike. also cuts across the silver swooping transfer, which again complicates thing.

i am either looking to buy a new fairing panel, stickered up, ready to put straight on the bike!

or

how do you think i should tackle this. one suggestion i have had is to get a sticker made to cover up the damage, although the area is quite big and may look naff. Also i could respray it, but if i do i will have to remove all of the transfers from it to get a good finish??

All advice and comment welcome

i will post a pic of the bike before and after when i get a chance so you can see the damage lol! Sad

Cheers Fellas

sucks mate, but luckily those bikes dont damage much when binned, I've slid mine (same model but silver) 3 times and only got scratches, mirror, bar end gear lever etc.

Personally I'd leave it, replacement panels are 1) very expensive 2) take BLOODY ages (6 months if your lucky) seeing as there's only one year of that bike and they're out of production - plus the red ones the rare one.

You could try getting a sticker kit, but the silver bit's not an actual sticker the panel's sprayed 2 colours so may look a bit naff.

whatever you do please let me know - I may be inclined to get mine fixed and also talk to a fellow GPR owner, shame looked a lovely bike!
