Hi
Carb icing is not that common, and the weather is not exactly perfect for it, nor are you that likely to get it bimbling round at low speed. If heaters are fitted then the problem is even less likely (although the Kawasaki heaters have a filter in there which can get blocked).
Redex is unlikely to have any effect.
A more likely cause would be something like a blocked fuel tank breather.
All the best

Hi
No, redex does not increase the octane rating, and even if it did that would no affect carb icing.
Redex is mean to reduce carbon deposits in the engine. It is not designed to have any effect on carb icing.
If you are desperate try a VW dealer, as VW used to do an additive for use in the old beetle (presume they still sell it) as it was prone to icing.
However it is unlikely that what you are suffering from has any relation to carb icing. What makes you think it does?
All the best
