glad you mentioned it.I had the same problem and I put some halogen ones in mine and they are way better (bayonet fitting) a friend of mine got them 35/35 I believe still but halogen and they are better when the light go on country lanes.be careful mind as my headlamps are twin (round)glass watch incase your's are not or you may burn a hole through them.with the extra heat also watch you dont handle them if you fit them or they will blow use gloves or latex gloves to stop your finger print from getting onto the bulb

it's an other little problem to solve . fitting halogen 35/35 is perfect but these bulbs come very hot at the base . the fitting is in bull shit plastic (CEV) and if you stay on all the way they will melt and it will appear a loose contact on the the bulb . i am exploring worldwide same fittings made by some other factory . i had some on my suzuki 125GT/2 from 1974 which were very hard , but they are discontinued . i hope to succed in finding a replacement and i will let everybody know .

Totally agree with the above! I replaced the standard bulbs with halogen and the increase in heat melted and deformed the holders that bayonets clip in to. When it came to changing the bulb the plastic was stuck to bulb and it took a good half hour with pliers to remove the bulb. I then had to butcher the holders so that they would accept a bulb again.

My recommendation would be to stick with the standard ones, but just take it easy. Just pass your test and get a bike with decent lights would be the best idea.

Alains above is a genius when it comes to the NSR so I would take his advice.

the point is that's headlights on nsr's is a bit poor with the genuine 25/25W bulbs , most of nsr's drivers fit 35/35w which is the max acceptable . you can upgrade by fitting halogen bulbs in 25/25 if they on constantly or 35/35 if not . halogen bulbs make more heath causing the bulb holder to melt . this is why i am exploring replacement solution (which is not easy , if you want non specialist to DIY)
