I insist their engines are shit (well bland and boring.)

I have not suggested their handling is an issue, which is what another user /was/ criticising.
And thus this was mentiond specifically in relation to power delivery in this case.

And, while we're at it, I do often reccomend them to people as a first time bike, since long before I had one or had considered one. I was defending them as a good bike for people to have as a 'first big bike'.
