It's making me unfit!

Once upon a time (Before I got the bikes) I used to walk everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Usually about 8 miles again to and from school and to general places, mostly because public transport smells of wee wee and contains lots of small screaming children, drinking white lightening etc. oh and babies too they are annoying.

I walked to the shop today, and was amazed how unfit I've become, (I was going to get fuel pipe, so I couldn't take the bike, and in the end was too small anyway Evil or Very Mad ) I got a pain in my chest just below my heart from the start, although I don't appear physically unfit I am, I think.

Anyway just thought I'd share that with you. Similar stories welcomed.

Confused

How? if anything they are more dangerous because of the weight implications.

... but if you carry on riding everywhere instead of walking you won't notice the pain. It's all good.

I was thinking I would lose weight when I get a bike. I would be out and about rather than sitting in the house eating something whenever I can't think of anything else to do.

This does not bode well for my beer belly Confused

There's a mountain bike trail up by me (marin trail) thats 27km long. Before I started riding motorbikes regularly I could do the whole trail in just under 2 hours and then go and ride jumps all afternoon but these days I'm doing well to just get round the trail in 3.5 hours let alone going anywhere else afterwards!

Where do you live? India?

Bet you have to walk that far for water as well!
