missus has bought a broken gz125 to learn to ride on so naturally im in charge of getting it up and running. Got it through an MOT with an advisory for dodgy front wheel bearings and also its got an issue with an idle hang caused by a cracked inlet manifold.
No worries, order bearings and a new manifold.
Bearings come, I find out I dont have a 12mm allen key to take the front wheel out to do them, no worries, lets try the manifold.
Manifold that was sold as a gz125 marauder manifold doesnt fit and neither can I get the old one out. Ive even gone so far as to move the airbox out of the way to try and get an impact driver on the cheesehead posidrives to get them loose but they still rounded before coming loose. Seems to me like the sensible option here to replace a 10 quid part held in with 2 screws is to take the fucken engine out of the frame so I can get the impact on it on the bench or drill the bastards out.
Fuck it, beer oclock. I'll start ripping that out on bank holiday monday when the weather will invariably be too shit to want to ride my own bike. ____________________ own: 81 xs1100g...

I think it’s a splendid idea and had no idea such a thing were possible. Two small boys and your friend will be delighted and will never forget the arrival of Auntie Hellkat!
Of course, once you’ve done that, you’d be able to burble up the mountain and rattle the shutters in our village! Not much happens here so you’d be the talk of the town for months ____________________ Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're probably right

I bet there's an M8 with a 12mm hex head on it somewhere on that bike. Jam two nuts on it and you're golden. |
Aye ive probably got a suitable bolt to jamnut in there but I decided bollocks to it i'll wait til Tuesday and bring a 12mm key home from work. Its not like its urgent, her CBT is the middle of next month. ____________________ own: 81 xs1100g...

Today, ebay.
I've probably moaned about this before but I won an auction for a rather large scrach built old model ship that I want to do up. Nothing unusual. Bloke wants cash on collection, ebay obviously don't want me to do that so are blocking emails, phone numbers etc meaning they need their pound of flesh before they'll let me contact him directly and that of course is despite charging him already for putting the advert in.
Well you ebay, we have communicated in a way Bletchley park would have been proud of and I'm off to get my boat tomorrow. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Can you no longer mark 'cash on collection' when listing?
I know on some things i've sold that are electronic it's forced me only to accept paypal. I understand this is to protect the buyer, but I wanted to have a cheque! ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

The fuckin dog's done a runner
I think she's been found round the corner but the woman won't give her back until the microchip has been checked. FFS
But my sky WiFi isn't working so I am struggling to get in contact on F/book with the people who have her.
I'm so stressed.
But I literally can't cry to release the tension because I'm such an emotional cripple through so many heart-scarring events in my life.
This is not helping my temper. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Online grocery shopping
Amazon emailed me a £20 off shopping with Morrisons (if you spend £60, fair enough.) So the wife goes makes a list...
...in the Morrisons app Which you obviously can't export to Amazon I go onto Prime/Groceries and punch it in by hand... except nothing matches. Not the prices, not the stock levels.

Morrisons are my flavour of the month this year so far, as they have free delivery to NHS staff, so I use them more than any other supermarket. Plus, their closest store is not too far out of my way/on the way home from work, which is useful for top ups. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |
