Four of us up North in June. Any pubs in Oban & Portree recommended.
Cheers,

Oban has loads of pubs, best one is Markie Dans on the harbour side, proper wee Scottish pub with great atmosphere.

Just avoid the trendy modern ones as they are seriously poor.

You obviously haven't been there then, there are actually quite a few good pubs and a few bad ones.

I definitely agree with that, the restaurant/night club on the front ('Mondo's', I think) is bollocks.

Try 'The Lorne', they have good bands on some nights.

As for Portree, you haven't got a lot of choice up there

Portree - the Pier Bar, down by the pier (surprisingly).

Just don't wear anything green/white, owner is a staunch Rangers man.
