Tell me about it...

mopeds are dangerous. I used to ride one and only wore jeans / trainers.

Come off my current bike with jeans on at 20mph and made a mess of my legs Confused

never go out without my textiles or leathers now.

I once wore full leathers on my moped... It was when I bought them before I passed my test, and had nowhere to store them on the way home Laughing

I've come off at 45 + 35 wearing jeans and not a scratch to my legs. I guess i was lucky though.

My NRG spat me off the back while doing a wheelie - kept it vertical for about 20 feet and then felt the thing angle past 60 degrees to the horizontal and then i knew i lost it.

As for protection: I completely fucked up my pair of GAS jeans when i got caught on some diesel on the turn-in into college. Hhm, i saw Nicky Hayden ride on his RCV with em, so i thought a lad on an NRG won't be an issue - how wrong was I. If jeans can abrade at the knee in a 15mph spill, i wouldn't like to know what would happen of one was wearing trousers - lucky i had my Dc Martens on.

NRG's are great for spills - i've had 5, 3 of them were really stoopid wheelies which i would say were pretty ill.
